Artwork Appreciation
CHEN Ming-Te collages and paints common residences in life, reshaping another look of everyday scenery. In Hukou II, a whole row of horizontal houses are staggered, selectively reproducing artificial textures and materials in the real world. Not like most paintings, the work intuitively and freely presents the structure and type of the house. From the shapes and structures of the buildings, viewers can see how the occupants develop their houses' structures due to different needs. Through CHEN Ming-Te's observation, he uses mixed media to reproduce the architectural landscape of real life, and at the same time shows the organic characteristics of the buildings.
