作品賞析

HU Chau-Tsung focuses on the boundary and the symbiosis between city and nature, his work Process depicts often seen rural scenery in Taiwan, the rusty chain link fence on the near right, the rural asphalt road lying horizontally and the standing power poles, on the left the windbreak and rice fields echoing urban buildings in the distance. In the rational image, emotions can also shuttle around which allows the viewer to produce their own memory experiences. The natural environment and artificial scenes seem to have an ambiguous and elusive space and local relationship, and this has also been HU Chau-Tsung’s subject matter. Space is endowed with meaning because people intervene, stay, move and attach to the space, they leave visible and invisible traces which make the space become a place.
