HU Kun-Jung’s work fuses space, color and structure, and changes and combines quadrilaterals and triangles of various sizes and proportions to explore the possibilities of geometric abstract art. In Overture, triangles, quadrangles, and slender rectangles connect to each other, the sight moves with these colored shapes, creating a sense of flow. Different color blocks sometimes shrink, sometimes expand, and sometimes reach to the bevels, which can be viewed in rhythm and music. HU Kun-Jung’s creative process doesn’t involve calculation of proportion and structure in advance; he lets intuition present a balanced visual state, allowing viewers to experience the beauty of art in a space that’s both dynamic and static.
