LIN Yu-Wen's printmaking utilizes the connecting nature and the texture changes of different prints to create printmaking with rich texture. In Unknown V, through the soft, medium, and hard rollers, her repeated embossment of the print makes the ink separate and blend, creating a picture space full of improvisation, changes, and chance. The sometimes thin and sometimes thick ink slowly accumulates and expands on the blank picture, forming a sometimes light and sometimes rough texture. The intertwined cold and warm colors also create a space of an intersection of the virtual and the reality. LIN Yu-Wen assembles her own different states of emotions through printmaking, as if she is presenting a map that belongs to her inner heart.
