HSU Pei-Cheng’s painting creation responds to the inner spiritual thought of individuals with a scene full of poetic and dreamy fantasy. He believes that our lives will go through different stages. When we open a door and walk into a room, there will be many different doors in that room, leading to more unknown rooms. In the work, Time of the Amusement Park, he uses a collage technique similar to a montage to piece together a theater played in a dream state. A dreamy circus appears in the room. One of the walls in the room seems to be in another time and space, and the butterflies are flying inside. At the corner, there is a ladder with no exit. Using a metaphorical and poetic narrative, HSU Pei-Cheng depicts a sentimental and forgetting moment in memory in the precious time.
