WANG Ming-Ren adds new themes based on traditional ink painting techniques such as rubbing and spotting. He adds cosmetics to the paint and processes it on rice paper, trying to expand the new possibilities of ink. The work Before Melting the Colors of the World is a vaguely recognizable interior space, with walls covered by paintings. However, all the objects in the space lose their borders, breaking the colors and mixing them together, much like the blurred images of memories. A leopard shuttles through the painting and it is an image that WANG Ming-Ren likes very much. The leopard is a symbol of elegance and might also represent the artist himself. WANG Ming-Ren creates the scenes with fuzzy, complicated brushstrokes and colors, connecting historical memory, time, space, groups, and events and trying to present a simple and happy world.
