WANG Chih-Wen often uses his own child as the model of his sculptures, transforming the child into characters that feature various imaginations, child-like features, and innocence of life. Fengcha Master uses the original colors and textures of wood to portray a youth sitting within a tea kettle. The nude figure of the youth is tightly held within the kettle. The disproportionate dimension between the tea kettle and the youth form a visual distortion. The youth holds the kettle cover in one hand and a tea cup in another, displaying the elegant harmony of tea appreciation. WANG Chih-Wen uses a realistic sculpting method to capture the innocence of a child and to portray his passion for life and imagination.
