LEE Shu-Chuan uses panel painting as a vector to record her spirituality and life. Amor V is an interpretation of various emotional representations of love. Green hues of different shades are depicted as lines, symbols, texts, or fragmented patches. The arrow seems to symbolize choices, while the entwining lines portray confused mindsets. Light-hearted and randomly distributed color patches symbolize a rational and joyful emotion. Amor is Spanish for love, a word often used by the Spanish people. Love exists everywhere, and can be seen, felt and expressed readily. LEE Shu-Chuan’s works feature her unique feminine warmth and charm to express the various emotional assemblage of love, providing a spontaneous presentation of her sights and sensations from everyday life.
