SU Chung-Ming derives creative inspiration from nature and everyday life, and uses unique Chinese ink painting technique to convey innermost emotions. A Traveler shows a dense forest composed of trees with varying heights extending as far as the eyes could reach. Branches of different thicknesses and size crisscross each other, while fog and clouds hang about the canopy to create a dream-like atmosphere. A traveling priest clad in the robes of a monk rests by a corner of the painting while gazing towards the distance. Different colors were utilized to create a sanctuary where the mind and spirit can seek refuge.
