CHANG Huei-Ming is a new installation artist, whose work “Stone” is a single channel video. The video shows the process of transforming ordinary stone gradually into clay via extremely low speed, and then turning it into a piece of metal. The process looks like an illusion. We are driven by the desire to identify whether if the object is a worthless rock or a block of valuable gold. However, we could not get the answer from the infinite circulation of time from the video. We could only pursue forever myth at the transience of moment. The artist guides the viewers to enter the circulating loop of time through this work and the turmoil hidden inside.
