CHANG Huei-Ming is a new installation artist, whose work “Leaves” records the process of fallen leaves moving with the wind. The leaves first gradually fall onto a pile and then fly up like feather. Suddenly all leaves are curved up instantaneously by the wind. The leaves return to the original state and repeat the circulation. The title of the work, “Leaves” also means “leaving” in English. This work expresses the author’s comprehension for life and despite that death may stop time, the seasons continue to change while the world continues to turn around. For the artist, all time represents the beginning and the end without ceasing. The artist transforms the birth, life, memories, and time into poetic sceneries through the images.
