Using distinctive spatial composition, HSIEH Yi-Ju’s painting Hang in There embeds objects and animals found in life onto the canvas, portraying her feelings and memories of such objects, as well as her own inner state. In the painting, fluorescent colors and richly hued pigments radiate an atmosphere of joy, from which a warm power gently floats outward.
