作品賞析

Tsai Yi-Chieh’s “Back to Landscape II” uses geometric figures to depict various landscapes in Taiwan. TSAI Yi-Chieh grew up in an urban environment, and needed to see the beautiful mountains and broad prairies through media such as movies, Internet, or magazines. In this work, she reflects on her experience with this soil, re-extracts and selects the landscape clips broadcasted by the mass media, and uses pure color blocks to illustrate the natural sceneries in order to reconstruct a nature she longed for.
