TSAI Yi-Chieh’s works in “Wonderful Life Series” showcase powerful sense of space and visual penetration. Her works express how the usually busy and stressful urban dwellers are longing for nature and so they fabricate nature, arranging various sceneries artificially in living environment. Yet, they are satisfied to just live behind iron windows and bars. These contradiction and ambiguity not only exist in the arranged scenes and spaces in the paintings, but are also hidden in the reality and hope of the viewers.
