Artist CHUANG Rei Hsien’ s oil painting style emphasizes the construct of line, color, and symbol. “Discovery” features childish lines, and from the abstract elements in the painting, objects such as hanger, clips, and hat, can still be vaguely recognized. These small objects scattered in the painting are neither abstract nor figurative, and so the work is true to its title, awaiting further “discovery” by people. Also, through different ways of connecting the relation between the elements in the painting, each viewer can always tell own version of the story.
