Artwork Appreciation
Life in aborigine settlements represents the fundamental basis of Idas Losin’s creative artworks. I See features fellow artists and children in her surroundings. Every character in the composition wears sunglasses and a nonchalant expression, with reflection of the surroundings on the sunglasses, including the development of Meiliwan Hotel, over-exploitation of tourism resources of the Taroko valley and mountain trout, and protesting banners and slogans. Idas Losin uses this collective portrait of the aborigine people to voice their silent protest and depict environmental issues.
