HUANG Chien-Hua’s work combines photography and digital images; he shoots animals and actual scenes, capturing and making collages though digital editing as a means to explore the possibility of rearrangement and subjectivity, and to relocate human being in this era of digital media. In Transcoder – The Sailor Who Is Obsessed with Xanadu, two duck-shaped boats filled with flamingos float on the pond in the garden, creating this image of ethnic migration that carries the imagination and dream of the world. HUANG Chien-Hua wants to address on the essence of moving and changing, imagination of oneself and the world; like the sailor obsessed with the illusion striving to pursue the state of mind, body and dream.
