Artwork Appreciation
In CHANG Chiung-Fang's Eye of Rhythm, layers of colors and lines form a dynamic painting. Graffiti method is used in this work by repeatedly painting and leaving traces consciously or unconsciously. She uses her intuition to view the creating process in different ways, and then decides whether to stop painting. The violet, white, and pink blocks are stacked on top of each other to form the background, and the black outline the abstract shapes and geometric symbols. In the imaginary world of CHANG Chiung-Fang, we can dance along the curved lines. Although the picture is chaotic, Eye of Rhythm creates a balanced visual interest, which is full of naive and childlike vitality.
