Writing with Soft Power Jan 18-Mar 3, 2019
2019.04.18
Exhibition

Writing presents in a flowing state, created within a frame, slowly filtering out, fulfilling oneself and others.

Writing is a process of using symbols to express one’s thoughts. It is a way to convey meaning. Artists use images, words, brushstrokes, or other symbols during their creative processes to express their experiences and viewpoints. It is not only a process of self-dialogue through the presence of the body, mind, and spirit; it also engages in dialogues with the audience, with a gentle, gradual, and penetrative approach utilized to deliver certain emotions and messages to the audience via art. On view in this exhibition are artworks created by seven artists using various media and methods, with the artworks presented based on the following three themes: “Dream and Reality Writing”, “Body Writing”, and “Documentary Writing”.

Writing with Soft Power is an exhibition that shows the artists’ intricate personal observations and their skillful and persistent creative approaches, presenting their depictions on the realizations they’ve had in life and how life is perceived by them. At the same time, the audience is able to experience vicariously through seeing these artworks and to see the artists’ different interpretations on the meaning of life.
