In the work Miscanthus Grass with a Withered Tree, detailed brush strokes are used to show the swaying scene of the Miscanthus Grass being blown by the wind. The Withered Tree on the side is deliberately oxidized with local silver foil to show a decaying and weathered texture, thereby creating a fading atmosphere. In the surroundings of the scenery, the technique of smudge is used to symbolize the traces of time left in the form of water stains.
