PENG I-I thinks works can only interact with life more intimately when they are actually being used. Antelope is made of clay and copper, functions as a lamp, the metal cylinder as the legs wrapped in semicircular clay as the bodies, the necks stretch from bottom to the top, and the metal sheets outline the profile of an antelope. PENG I-I regrets that our lives lack the variety in material due to the mass production of plastic and fake materials; the traditional material and techniques are gradually declining. In facing the trend, PENG uses relatively unfashionable material, with clay as his main media, hoping to reconnect people and soil through his practice.
