This eastern gouache painting is different from the usual sort, HUA Chien-Chiang transplants humorous and colorful comic and graffiti styles into the traditional Shan Shui compostion, often mocking current affairs which brings some fresh air to the eastern gouache painting. Single-Split-Type: Total Efficiency Air-Conditioner, Super Cold Inverter Air-Conditioner, Constant Temperature Air-Conditioner, Soft Light for Comfort Sleep Air-Conditioner is a series that depicts how people interact using different kinds of air conditioners. Two old men met each other for the first time, staying in the same confined space, sometimes standing sometimes sitting or lying or cowering, they have no contact or interaction, only the awkward air filling in the space, like the cold air produced by the air conditioner that freezes between the two men. HUA Chien-Chiang projects himself as one of the men, and desoribing the reality of interpersonal phenomena in Taiwan.
