CHIANG Chi-Ming converts social isolation into his creativity, and creates vivid sculptures through discerning observation of girls. In Waiter, we see a waitress in white shirt and black pleated skirt, tight collar with thick cloth, and hair tied high, she looks neat but seems low, she looks down, leaning her head, leaves a shade on her right cheek. Her long sleeves connect to the pedestal, giveing a heavy atmosphere. Waiter means not only one who serves but also one who waits, CHIANG Chi-Ming thinks waiter is a complex role in the hierarchy, they serve without pride or personality, he tries to imply the helplessness of the lower class by portraying this desolate waitress.
