Maps provide a geographical visage of human activity and environment, WANG Po-Yen shot these banners in New York’s subway, sought human traces in the city, and created this piece called Atlas Series. The previous ads reveal while waiting on the next, the dimension of time is shown in a 3D topographical map, reproducing human’s life in a public space. These animations constitute a fictional map meanwhile recording peoples’ activities; the virtual and the real are tied closely; accumulating trivial life events to describe people shapes and features.
