SU Yu-Ting uses printmaking as the medium and utilizes the thin and delicate line of copper to show a world of mixed reality and illusion. The work, At the Foot of the Mountain-Mt. Datun, presents a view of Mountain Datun from the perspective of Guandu Plain. The plants dispersed in the picture are all native species of Taiwan. The birds standing on both sides are the native egrets and African sacred ibis. She tries to create a historical landscape of Taipei Basin, one that used to be a lake, but artificial wooden fences are also deliberately placed inside the picture. The golden background brings an unrealistic sense of emptiness to the picture. SU Yu-Ting reconstructs memory and dreams, creating a landscape with no people that expresses the emotions of the inner world.
