YANG Chen-Hua loves to collect all kinds of objects in life, such as: strange stones, dead wood, old toys, ornaments, etc., and use these objects as elements to record moments in life. The work, Summer Sunbathing, presents a potted plant. Inside the round fish bowl, there is a black goldfish. There is also sunken wood and hornwort, along with a porcelain of a naked female. The posture of the naked girl seems relaxing, creating a summer-like scene. YANG Chen-Hua follows his own state of mind and creates unique portraits for these objects, as if they are permanently collected and sealed in the picture. For him, these objects may appear to be ordinary and inconspicuous, but they exude an extraordinary temperament, implying a memory of history and personal emotions.
