WU Cheng-Han’s work, The Dream of Our Time 6-Zhongxiao Dunhua, uses the montage to shape the style and effect of hyperrealism to illustrate the street views of Taipei city. The picture is full of buildings and cars, and the images of different time and space are merged and overlapped with each other, making the urban image seem broken and incomplete. It also shows how both the image and memory in the mind be in a dream-like flowing state. The city alternates between rises and falls, carrying the atmosphere of the eras and the dreams from different people. We are all struggling between these two states, reality and oneself. WU Cheng-Han resets the reality using himself as the main focus and records the real environment and people's state of mind in the era with his work.
