WU Bing-Chi’s work, Projection: Bird on the Tree, is a series of works focused on natural scenery. She presents a treetop landscape with photography and post-editing. In the gray picture, there is a little bird standing alone on the branch amid the messy leaves. The coarse picture makes the image a bit blurry, presenting an anxious, rough atmosphere. WU Bing-Chi believes that when things come into view, they trigger a series of perceptual experiences formed by interactions within one’s psychological phenomena, which in turn reflects the inherent qualities of oneself. She tries to present the appearance of the observed object with images, integrating with her own state of mind to express her life experience.
