CHIANG Yu-Hsuan is good at using the gravure copper etching as the medium for creation to produce unique scenery in the imagination. In the work, Native I-VI, the six pictures each shows a familiar forest landscape. These forests are dark and deep, as if they have no ends. They seem to have never been discovered by humans and have still maintained their ancient and primitive state. The six forests each have their own strange creatures. The creatures have rough bark-like textures. Some of them look like lions, and some look like ancient creatures similar to mammoths. They are like the guardians that protect the forest, coexisting with the ancient forest. CHIANG Yu-Hsuan’s unique fantasy of the nature shows the inseparable relationship between nature and organisms.
