WU Tzu-Ning uses the concept of the body as a medium to investigate the strange relationship between people and how they connect to the external world in the age of digital technology. Cyber Native is a video depicting a quasi-aborigine girl wearing facial tattoos and a dress with tribal totems. The patterns that form the girl are derived from icons and interfaces of web browsers. The surrounding environments, plants, and buildings are created with screenshots of the online world. BBS, MSN, and other network interfaces that are no longer popular are used to generate the relics and ruins in this work. WU Tzu-Ning re-imagined the online world as the origin of the primordial universe for the purpose of reflecting upon the state of survival in modern life, and even entertained the possibilities of digitalizing the afterworld.
