WU Tzu-Ning uses the concept of the body as a medium to investigate the strange relationship between people and how they connect to the external world in the age of digital technology. Cyberbeings comprises seven sets of virtual 3D natural landscapes including glaciers, deserts, volcanoes, lakes, clouds, gardens, and ponds that seem no different from their real-world counterparts. However, these virtual landscapes lack atmosphere, temperature, and living organisms, and remain eternally unchanging. The virtual world is likened to a dreamscape that offers its audience a mental sanctuary and a refuge from the actual world. WU Tzu-Ning re-imagined the online world as the origin of the primordial universe for the purpose of reflecting upon the state of survival in modern life, and even entertained the possibilities of digitalizing the afterworld.
