HU Tung-Ming derives inspiration and elements from nature in an attempt to create a diverse, infinite, and tolerant world. Seed uses marble and metal to portray the reflective texture of forged metals and the warm and mild textures of stone. The work portrays metal assuming an organic shape wrapped around the stone like a seed being bound by intertwining roots. The highly polished metallic surface reflects the external environment to create an interactive dialog with the surrounding world. HU Tung-Ming’s sculptures adopt properties of both rational and emotional elements to portray the everlasting cycles of life.
