HUANG Hsiao-Yen treats every creation as a journey of exploration and self-discovery. Simple colors and geometric forms are used as a starting point to re-explore the brightness and warmth of humanity. Stage of Youth includes large patches of flat, pink brush strokes to create the warm tones of the painting. Dark red colored blocks of different forms are placed in the composition from different perspectives and various scales, and seem to serve as symbolic representations of a performance stage, while a spiraling arrangement of dots create a spontaneous dialog between shape and color. HUANG Hsiao-Yen uses simple colors and youthful images, providing delightful and positive energies and constructing a poetic imagination of time and youth.
