WU Shih-Chun uses still life studies and meticulous realist techniques to capture fleeting moments of time. Time shows an old and dented metal face wash bowl placed on a wooden chair. Parts of the enamel coating of the bowl have worn off, exposing the metal underneath to rust. Several beads of water are left along the edges of the bowl. Contrasting light and shadow on the basin and the chair create a somber atmosphere that was accentuated by the darkly colored background. WU Shih-Chun created this intricate illustration in order to immerse viewers in the sensation of flowing time.
