LIAU Chi-Hsiung’s Instinctive Scale (‘2004-2014) is an experimental portrayal of different materials. White chairs, red tables, and black tablecloth from everyday settings were assembled to generate a unique dialog, while the empty glasses give viewers the ability to think about the setting. The canvas used for the painting is a cardboard that the artist has used for a long time as a tabletop. The painting, on the other hand, was created from a mixture of plaster and acrylic applied like graffiti, poured, or rubbed onto the artwork. LIAU Chi-Hsing has successfully employed unique media and abstract assemblage to create a rich and imaginative space.
