LO Chia-Hui’s Seek employs an abstract approach to display the inter-relationships between memory, emotions, and time. Black lines and patches as well as traces of brush strokes cover the canvas, creating symbols that reveal the hidden, serene, yet restless memories of the artist. The background is dark and subsumed, like a vessel that allows memories and consciousness to condense and revert to their most original states. LO Chia-Hui used symbolism to create a montage of broken pieces of information, taking mysterious symbols and codes and assembling them into a relationship that borders between the virtual and physical worlds, conveying the message on how time flies and changes itself.
