JHANG Jhen-Rong has always been attracted by natural landscapes filled with biological energy in order to reflect her innermost desires. There Are Many Many Trees on the Hill utilized uniform color tones and simple outlines to recreate the familiar mountain from her memories. This lonely mountain has round, curvaceous contours that offer a sense of stability. Fine, green colored brushstrokes and simple trees planted atop the mountain symbolize greenery and prosperity. JHANG Jhen-Rong’s works are characterized by the limited number of décor, expressing her detached and focused experiences of mountain viewing that can be comparable to the experiences of a child focused upon her toy. Such simple mindsets are then transformed into subtle and wondrous settings in the artwork.
