LEE Wen-Pin, also known as LEE Feng, grew up in Budai Township in Chiayi County of Taiwan. He has been extremely influenced by the natural world and uses artwork as a means of conveying his sense of mission and destiny towards the natural landscape and rivers as well as his personal dreams. In Vision 3 (Natural Harmony), rugged green lines were used to present nature. Brushstrokes roar and collide with each other like powerful waves, surging forth to create a verdant landscape that brims with life. Large white-colored patches were then used to create the external form of the islands. LEE Wen-Pin attempts to use these brightly colored and unique visual forces to communicate his expectations and beliefs of nature. This Vision includes his hopes for a “joyful life” and expectations for a “free and harmonious living community.” LEE Wen-Pin has converted natural landscapes into a powerful stream of emotions expressed in abstract forms to offer viewers a passionate and lush presentation of Taiwan’s natural landscapes.
