Artist LEE Wen-Pin, also known as Lee Feng, was born in Budai, Chiayi County. His painting style is refined by the nature and cultivated by the countryside. Lee loves nature, and often sees himself as a mountain, or event a plant. “2013 The Secrets from Within 22” features simple and bold black lines to represent the mountain; acrylic paints are repeatedly applied, and finally, Lee uses cherry pink to outline the overall image. The creative process displays enormous energy of life. Lee does not look to represent objects in his expressions; rather, through the artist’s insight, Lee aims to realize the core values of life and art from the objects and sceneries in front of his eyes.
