HSIEH Chen-Yuan is skilled in using print art to express his personal and emotional moments. Ghost images, geometric blocks, and modern sceneries are combined with ultra-modernist design elements to express its innate emotions. HSIEH Chen-Yuan’s An Explosion in My Heart illustrates an indoor environment with colorful geometric blocks floating in the sky that are contrasted against uncolored ghost images of figures dashing about or leaping into the sky, expressing a deliberate and forceful intervention of the human figures in the composition. HSIEH Chen-Yuan integrates a number of non-sensical objects and figures to highlight the unreal nature of space.
