CHANG Chia-Hung is skilled in using the camera to capture wonderful moments of everyday life. Try to Remember… shows 4 young girls sitting on the wooden walkways by the lake bowing over, giggling and chatting with each other. The artist used a low angle shot close to the wooden walkway surface in order to increase the depth of the wooden structure while enhancing the distance that separates the photographer from his targets. Black and white photography and background defocusing were employed to add haziness to the background clouds in the sky. Sun Moon Lake is a destination that CHANG Chia-Hung has visited with his mother. She has since left this world when he revisited the Lake. Despite this personal loss, the landscape and beauty has remained the same. This photograph was taken as a token of remembrance for the wonderful times he share with his mother.
