CHANG Chia-Hung is a professional photographer. The Return… is a black and white photograph capturing two siblings heading for home under the setting sun after playing in the Gaomei Wetlands. Gaomei Wetlands is a protected nature reserve but people have erected rows upon rows of giant wind power generators, generating a stark visual conflict. The two siblings walking along the beach illustrates the intimate relationship between nature and the human race. CHANG Chia-Hung hopes to use this photograph to make people think about the relationships between technological and environmental developments, and appeals to people to provide nature with the respect it deserves while pursuing their livelihood and technological advancements so that both can exist in sustainable harmony.
