Artist ZHANG Chun-Min expresses a primitive spiritual world using a child-like painting style. In Memory 01, she reassembles excerpts of randomly memories from her mind into a collage. The six panels of this piece are like six windows, each displaying a different memory, creating an all-new imagining of a story, with which she searches for hard-to-forget stories and emotions of the past. Zhang’s painting possesses childlike imagination and innocence, in which she transforms her she inner yearning for bliss into the vigorous language of painting, beckoning viewers to immerse themselves in an unconstrained dream world.
