Artist CHI Hui-Min discusses the meaning of life through images. In his work, “Journey of Zen,” he steps into the spiritual journey of self-exploration that hides the truth behind the circles of blossoming and withering of plants and trees through a notion of Zen. He transforms the dews, air, flowers, and trees in nature into poetic visual vocabularies through the viewing window, which conveys self-reflection and a sense of settlement. For the artist, blossoming, growth and expansion are the start to life while danger, departure and illusion are the end of life. The start and end of life is the miniature of the universe. Photography signifies the traces after thinking and the reproduction upon pursuing for answers.
