CHEN Tzu-Jo is good at structuring the landscapes with collages of media. The work Between is created with glue-pigments, printed matters, and ink wash painting paper. First, a variety of printed matters are used as the bottom layer, and then the ink wash painting paper is mounted on it. The printed matters, ink wash painting paper, ink, and pigment are intertwined with each other to show the mountain climbing scenes in Taipei. Ink wash painting paper is covered on the printed matters, making these ordinary scenes obscure. As the artist grew up and returned to her former home, she gradually remembers the mountain climbing scenes she saw in her childhood. Although familiar, the images are blurred.
