CHANG Ting-Ya often combines the texture of wood grain and the characteristics of water-based media to create landscapes by using the wood block print techniques. Between Inside and Outside 04 mainly explores the screens or the objects that separate the living spaces. In the work, the viewers can see a courtyard fence that divides the space into two sides. A moon-shaped door is opened on the left wall as a connection so that the viewers can take a peek at the other side of the fence. With the elegant ink work, CHANG Ting-Ya reorganizes objects to explore the separation between spaces and expresses the rich spatial imagination.
