HSU Yi-Hsuan is good at observing the behavior of animals. Through woodcut prints, she portrays living beings from an anthropomorphic perspective. Home Is Where the Hog Is is inspired by her travel experience in Lanyu. The protagonist is the endemic species of Lanyu. The mother hog in the center has a large body and breast. The small hogs around their mom are playing or sleeping, showing the family harmony. The weather is rainy, white snails and ferns are emerging. In the background, local traditional underground houses point out the special Lanyu landscape style. The hieroglyph of "home" in ancient Chinese refers to a hog in the house, bringing out the important status of hogs in traditional life and their special connections with humans.
