WU Yun-Feng yearns for freedom without borders. The childhood memories of family trips to the sea and the fairy tales and movies influence her imagination of the relationship between the ocean, fish, and humans. The work Fish is composed of 16 embroidery works, which transforms the mental appearance of the human and the body structure of the fish into mixed species of the mermaids. These personified fishes have their personalities, and because of the different living environments, they have evolved unique individuals. The use of two complementary color threads forms a net-like shape and glare effect by overlapping. WU Yun-Feng projects her own emotions and values on these mermaids, reflecting the social background, culture and personal subjective mentality of the current era.
