作品賞析

HUNG Yun-Ting realizes that the development of technology has shortened the time for people to move, and frequent travel has become a part of daily life. The imbalance of leaving familiar daily life will truly be reflected in people’s hearts, and the convenience never really brings people closer. This installation cites Italian poetry, Cesare Pavese’s poem from the novel, The Comfort of Strangers, written by Ian McEwan to describe this state imbalance while traveling. The neon light tube installed on the plastic board, curved into four vocabularies: “brutality, off balance, Nothing, imagine” in hand-written form, afforts viewers wider room for imagination and interpretation of travel.
