KUO I-Chen employs the phone app called Spy Cam, connecting to real-time monitors all over the world, selecting and capturing footage to printout for the work, Snapshadow. A photograph usually indicates the presence of the photographer, these photos were captured by pressing the screenshot button, just as photos shot by pressing a shutter, the object shot exist but the photographer is absent, making the photo like a proof of absence. The scattered photos is a metaphor of the ubiquitous surveilance in modern society, it represents the desire of having dominance over footages, and makes the audience ponder the nature of photography.
